TOM MULROY IS APPOINTED GENERAL MANAGER OF FORT LAUDERDALE MARRIOTT POMPANO BEACH RESORT & SPA
POMPANO BEACH, FLORIDA, SEPTEMBER 15, 2022 — Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG) has appointed Tom Mulroy as General Manager of the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa, owned by Key International. The resort will undergo a complete renovation of guest rooms, meeting and public spaces, food and beverage outlets, and the oceanfront pool experience in 2023.
“Tom is an accomplished hotelier with extensive experience in beachfront destinations,” said Shawn Gracey, Executive Vice President of Hospitality for Key International. “It’s a perfect time to have Tom leading the resort as we get ready to embark on a series of updates and renovations that will be transformational for the resort.”
With 22 years of experience in hospitality management, Mr. Mulroy was most recently Area General Manager for HVMG covering the Plunge Beach Hotel, Lauderdale by the Sea and the DoubleTree Deerfield Beach/Boca Raton. Prior to that he was General Manager for The Omphoy Ocean Resort and Spa, Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport Hotel, Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel, and Palm Beach Gardens Marriott Hotel.
Mr. Mulroy has a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Michigan State University. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Lauderdale by the Sea Chamber of Commerce, Deerfield Beach Chamber of Commerce, Hillsboro Executive Center, the Palm Beach Chapter of Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, Palm Beach County CVB, and the Palm Beach County Hotel and Lodging Association.
